In Love with a Memory -Guest Column

Over two hundred years ago this country battled for its freedom. Brave men and women fought for something greater than themselves. They fought for a dream, an aspiration, a belief that they felt within their bones, deep down in their hearts.
I love this country. I love what it stands for, what it reminds people of, what it means to so many. I love that our history is one filled with bravery, honesty, and wrestling against all odds. I love that my heritage is wrapped in men and women leaving everything they had to pursue everything they dreamed of. I love that my days of old are enveloped with people who worked from the ground up, coming from nothing and making something admirable with their lives. I love that the American dream is what this country was known for. I love that patriotism was truly what set us apart, that one’s love for country burned in their spirits as bright and hot as the sun. I love that our foundation was built upon Christian values and beliefs, that the God of this land is the One and Only King, the creator of all things.
As I sat on my back porch and watched the sun set it dawned on me that I am in love with something I never had. I’m madly head over heels with a story I never lived. The America in my mind is no longer the America we found in 1776. The America I see today is not the united force Washington, Adams, Franklin, Jefferson, Hamilton, and Monroe created so long ago. In my lifetime I have never seen a country crowned with brotherhood, yet I picture it so clearly in my mind that I somehow believed it still existed. The America I have known is not filled with unity but rather political correctness, hatred, judgment, anger, confusion, resistance, dishonesty and denial.
When I sing the National Anthem I sing of the America that was, not the America that is. When I look at the mountain on which America the Beautiful was written I look upon a time of old, a song of something I have never seen. When I picture Patriotism I see men and women united in pride in the fact that they are American and that America is the greatest country in the world, but the picture in my mind is not the reality before me. We have forgotten who we are and what we stand for. We have allowed the memory of our forefathers to become tainted and confused. We no longer know why America is great or why being an American is the best title one could have.
I will fight for this country but I now know I fight for a reflection, not the picture itself. I fight for the past, not the present. I believe in what this country was, but question what it is. I love what this country was made of, but hurt for what it has become. I will believe, even if it’s ignorance, that one day the America in my mind becomes the America I see before me.
I am a Christian untied with my forefathers, I am a patriot standing with their memory. I am an American, I too will fight for a dream I feel in my bones and so deep in my heart, just like those men and women in 1776. Thank God for that purple mountain majesty, thank God we are free because of the brave, thank God for the star spangled banner. Thank God we are one nation under God.

To the Never Trumpers “Vote your conscience” crowd……get over yourselves.

You didn’t like the results of the Primary elections held across America so you are now throwing a tantrum. A tantrum that could quite possibly result in

1) A Hillary Presidency and

2) 3-5 Liberal Supreme Court Judges being appointed.

These two things directly affect me, but more than that-they affect my children. Your spoiled brat mentality is now impeding on my children’s future & this momma ain’t having it!

So….you are a Never Trumper, well I am a Never Hillary, did you get that NEVER HILLARY –ever!

Your ‘vote your conscience bull-crap’ is just that….A LOAD of bull crap.

You throwing in a third candidate at the convention is a declaration of a Hillary Presidency.

You are so upset that your candidate didn’t get the delegates needed to clinch the nomination that you’d rather have Hillary than Trump….and that is straight up disgraceful and selfish!

You see….I know what a Hillary Presidency looks like, it’s not just a display of endless pantsuits and a trail of dead bodies following her career, no it is an exact replica of the last 8yrs……

It looks like 50 million & counting Americans living in poverty.

It looks like more & more jobs shipped overseas.

It looks like an even higher corporate tax rate.

It looks like a continued elimination of the middle class.

It looks like the media continuing to report of job increases- when in fact they neglect to count the millions of Americans who have stopped looking for work.

It looks like less sovereignty over all our trade negotiations.

It looks like us continuing to have our asses handed to us by terrorists.

It looks like the vast majority of Americans receiving government assistance.

It looks like more illegal immigration.

It looks like the continued implementation of taking from the ‘haves’ to give to the ‘I’d rather sit on my couch & play video games than get a job’ “have-nots.”

It looks like less religious liberty and more censorship.

It looks like more government intrusion on our 1st, 2nd, 4th,  and 10th,  Amendment Rights.

It looks like more apologizing for being the land of the free and the home of the brave.

It looks like blaming law abiding gun owners and not the mental nut-jobs.

It looks like more tip-toeing around the fact that Radical Islam exists & they want us dead!
It looks like:

Water Gate

Benghazi,

Bergdahl,

Rosengate,

Fast and Furious

Solyndra etc etc etc……..

It looks like the IRS specifically targeting conservatives.

It looks like me like more Black Lives Matter and less All Lives Matter.

It looks like Obamacare.

It looks like Sanctuary Cities.

It looks like the total mismanagement of the VA.

It looks like a whole lot more pleading the 5th on accountability.

It looks like Executive overreach on steroids.

It looks like 3-5 liberal Supreme Court judges being appointed.

It looks like Bill Clinton back in the White House.

It looks like taking money from countries that treat women like animals and execute gays for being gay.

It looks like “Russian Re-set.”

It looks like erased emails….a helluva lot of important erased emails.

It looks like someone who hasn’t driven a car in 25 years saying they know what the average Americans needs are.

It looks like permanent career politicians making decisions they have no business making.

It looks like a bunch of hashtags trying to stop terrorism.

It looks like Bill Clinton, who vacations with convicted pedophile Jeffery Epestein, living again in the White House (This one needed to be repeated, I mean seriously….this should be reason enough people).

So while you fantasize about a third candidate jumping in at the convention, getting the nomination & then winning the General election-Reality is placing Hillary behind the desk in the Oval Office.

Is your conscience cool with this?

If so please remove yourself from the Republican Party….and climb on the Hillary Train….

….oh wait…you’re already on it.

P.S. Inform your conscience it’s a Liberal.

BUT HE CAN’T BE BOUGHT!

You can call it what you like…..but I call it the “Trump Phenomenon.”

Just what is the deal with Donald Trump…..and why do so many still not get it?

When most political careers would be ‘done for’ -if they had said some of the things Trump has, Trump continues to rise in the polls and gain popularity….

But why?

Well….let me attempt to explain……

For the last 6.5 years the American people have been told to shut the hell up! Our voices have been silenced.

We have been told what to think and how to think.

We have been told what to say and what not to say.

We have been told that out Religious beliefs are no longer “allowed” in society.

We have been told that racism & bigotry continue to divide us but NO talk at all on what UNITES us.

We have been told what our children can and cannot eat when at school.

We have been told what schools our children can attend.

We have been told what we are and are not allowed to use when it comes to defending ourselves from harm.

We have been told we must buy healthcare and if we don’t-we are penalized.

We have been told we are not allowed to use the Doctor we wish to.

We have been told that our mere existence is ruining the planet and Polar Bears are dying because we are living.

We have been told not to be proud to be American…..but instead to apologize for it.

We have been told NOT to call those who are daily persecuting, raping, selling and killing Christians in the Middle East what they ARE =Radical Islamic extremists.

We have been told that giving 150 Billion dollars to those who chant “Death to America” is a “good deal.”

We have been told false numbers on unemployment…..when there are currently 93 million Americans out of work.

We have been told: ‘hope and change’ -while 50 million Americans are currently living in poverty.

We have been told that our borders are secure, but there are 11.3 million illegal immigrants now living in the US.

We have been told that Benghazi happened and four Americans died because of a “youtube” video…..

We have been told….

We have been told….

We have been told….

The majority has sat in silence and the few that have spoken have done so in a whisper…

Conservatives thought change would occur when a Republican majority was had in both the House and Senate in the 2014 Elections…..but the silence continued…..

As Americans watched legislation being passed in Congress benefiting only the lobbyists and big corporations -because politicians have become merely puppets on strings…..Someone spoke up.

Someone stepped forward who doesn’t know how to whisper and that CANNOT be “told” and won’t be “told.”

Trump has said some outlandish things, He has said some totally offensive things, He has said some things I totally disagree with….but his brutal unfiltered honesty was a welcomed relief felt by millions of Americans.

Trump doesn’t have to say what you want him to say, because he doesn’t need your money.

Unlike all other politicians he does not need to pander- the media can’t buy him, lobbyists can’t buy him, big corporations can’t buy him.

For years, we have been told what we “want” to hear in order to get our vote…..but what we “want” to hear and the “truth” are often not the same, but you see-truth….sets you free.

It is truth that allows for true change.

If you continue to cover a wound, and never really look inside it and clean it out-healing can’t take place. The process can be painful, uncomfortable….but the end result brings a cure.

I believe that the Trump Phenomenon exists because people want the brutal honest truth.

Perhaps other candidates I like, might catch on to why Trump is resonating….

And whether the “Trump Phenomenon” continues….

only time will tell……

Oh my gosh mainstream media….keep your pants on geeez!

Well…..if you haven’t heard of Scott Walker yet….then you probably haven’t been reading anything political in the last couple weeks, because Walker is headlining everything right now!

47 year old, Scott Walker is the current Wisconsin Governor and a strong contender for the Republican nominee in 2016. He is loved and hated in Wisconsin….but most haters are union members and ummmmm….with all the government regulation today ……why are unions even still a thing???

Scott Walker was sworn into office as Governor in 2011. He introduced some pretty rigid budget cuts that limited collective bargaining powers (negotiations between employers and groups of employees aimed at reaching agreements to regulate working conditions). He basically stood up to the big bad unions limiting their “all powerful” power and…..well all hell broke loose! These proposed budget cuts by Walker led to protests outside the capitol and a recall election. In June of 2012, Walker won the recall election with even more of the vote than he received in the 2010 election! Walker is the only Governor in US History to win a gubernatorial recall election. Walker this past November was re-elected to a second term as governor of Wisconsin.

Well about a month ago some polls were released that showed Walker leading as the front runner for the 2016 GOP nominee and well….that’s getting attention.

Because we all know….the mainstream media is crazy pants and so unbelievably biased that they are going to do everything they possibly can to tear Walker a new one!

Just in the past month the first drama that media flipped out over was that Walker didn’t have a College Degree!!! Ahhhhhhhhh…….what are we going to do!!!! I mean….Bill Gates-no college degree, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg…..just to name a few-no college degrees….But oh my -if Scott Walker doesn’t have one-let’s headline this on every news story imaginable! Let’s scream it from the roof tops on how important it is for a possible presidential candidate to have a college degree……because all our founding fathers had one….right? Oh they didn’t? Never mind then.

The next crazy story was that the Unions were again flipping out and protesting Walker’s home this past week….only….Walker’s home is now being occupied by Walker’s parents-meet Llewellyn and Patricia Walker:B-AaJN2IcAA9PnH

These two were greeted last Monday evening by union thugs chanting “Hey hey, ho ho, Scott Walker’s got to go”……classy right.

Walker is making headlines again today because some jack monkey buffoon at the Washington Post asked Walker if Obama was a Christian. Ummmm why are we asking Scott Walker if Obama is a Christian?? See this is so prime mainstream media reporting….asking dumb questions….hoping for a dumb reply and boom-you’ve gotta slandering story to sell -shaming Republicans! But Walker….handled this like a boss….by answering “I don’t know.” Well….that caused a whole freak out by the Liberal Left media….because Obama has said he’s a Christian and so……he must be a Christian……right…..right……right…..???

I just have to say…..actions speak louder than words on this one and we have all watched how Obama comes running valiantly to defend the Christian faith and his brothers and sisters in Christ! (eye roll……huge eye roll…)

To be honest…..I am kinda looking forward to what the Liberal Lefties are going to flip out over next with Walker…..stay tuned….

This is why I do what I do….man, if I could reach just one of these students….get them to think…really think why they believe what they believe and then have them come to the realization that….they are in fact “uninformed”….and then get them informed-it’s a win in my book….a big win!

I’ll admit-I honestly laughed out loud when I heard one of the students say “Benghazi” is one of Hillary’s BEST accomplishments!”

I am setting out with new goals, a new vision on reaching people just like the ones in the video below….all is not lost, if anything this should cause everyone of us to speak up, speak out and enlighten a generation that has yet to see the light! Because they vote….let’s get them to be informed voters!
