A Congress For the People…By the People….ummmm not so much…… #TransPacificPartnership #TPA

The Senate voted to give Obama “fast track” powers to passing the “Trans Pacific Partnership Bill” on Friday with a vote of 62 to 37.

On a day we celebrate those who have fallen to protect our individual liberties, I find it extremely concerning that our Senate would pass a bill-now headed to the House that completely shuts out WE THE PEOPLE!

What is the TPP? In short it is a bill that gives Obama accelerated authority to enter into a trade agreement with Pacific Rim countries -known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Sounds harmless right? I mean why am I flipping out over this?

Well, for starters WE THE PEOPLE are not allowed to know anything about it-that’s right ……did I time warp to the USSR!???

“For any senator who wants to study the draft TPP language, it has been made available in the basement of the Capitol, inside a secure, soundproof room. There, lawmakers surrender their cellphones and other mobile devices. Any notes taken inside the room must be left in the room.” NPR.org. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat??? So wait a minute a Senator, who is to represent WE THE PEOPLE, can’t tell WE THE PEOPLE what’s in the Bill that they have now decided to pass???

This bill also includes TPA: Trade Promotion Authority which says Obama can submit a trade deal to Congress for an up or down vote with limited debate AND Congress can’t amend it, taking power away from Congress is taking power away from YOU and ME!

The Obama administration is keeping the information of the Bill in total secret, and prohibiting ANY discussion of the bill. Obama then is asking those that are critics of the Bill (Democrat Elizabeth Warren-who proposed a bill to disclose the info in the TPP to the public so that WE THE PEOPLE can know what’s in it, fyi: which was rejected) to name specifics of why they are critics of it………….ummmm hello, they can’t name specifics because they are being prohibited to speak specifically about it! Honestly!!! Have I entered Communist China??? Have I…..is this all a horrible dream??

Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio said: “There is more access in most cases to CIA and Defense Department and Iran sanctions documents — better access to congressional staff and others — than for this trade agreement.”

This isn’t a partisan issue….this isn’t Republicans vs Democrats issue here….this is a violation of the Americans Rights to transparency!

Please…..for the love, don’t tell me that you trust our government to make the right call here!

I don’t care if this bill is about picking apples off an apple tree-WE THE PEOPLE should KNOW WHAT’S IN IT!!!!

For your info, these are the guys in the Senate that voted to give Obama MORE power and voted FOR the Trade Bill…..huh….I wonder what the House will do??

The guys that caved to Obama’s #Amnesty

For a brief……very brief moment, I was proud of our congress today as they welcomed a true leader Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu. But, shortly after we heard Netanyahu give a very moving and historic speech, I was reminded of why we sooooo need term limits!

So there’s been this back and forth over Obama’s Amnesty. You know the unconstitutional executive order he gave a few months ago without going through congress, granting amnesty to millions of illegals. Who cares about securing the borders….let’s just let em all in-terrorist and all, who cares about those going about it the lawful way…..whooooohooooo! Ya…that order….remember it? Well no legislation had been passed on that order….that is until today. Our House of Representatives caved, because there was the “threat” of shutting down the Department of Homeland Security unless the bill was passed. (Which is a whole other story in itself….I mean it’s like we have mobsters running things over there! I threaten you with this, unless you do this…..ughhh….I mean come on!)

The House passed the “clean” DHS Bill so the Department of Homeland Security wouldn’t shut down…..and now Obama’s Amnesty is going to be signed by the King himself.

I honestly want to know what happened to our Constitutional Republic?? Anybody seen it…..anybody??

Here is a list of the guys in suits that passed this insane bill….those who caved under pressure to his Majesty, If your rep isn’t on here…..be proud, because they just might have a pair!

I grew up having this book read to me, it’s called: “If you give a mouse a cookie.”  It’s a great book-I recommend it to your little ones if you have little ones 🙂 The gist of the book is about this little boy who gives a mouse a cookie. Well, because the little boy gave the mouse a cookie the mouse now wants milk, then the mouse wants a straw, then he wants a napkin, then he looks in the mirror and notices his hair is a little long, he now wants a hair cut……and so on and so on….I think you get the idea….

I thought of this book today because I am noticing a trend….call it “trendy” if you will, it’s the trend of negotiating with terrorists.

It has been our policy as a country to never negotiate with terrorist. Obviously under our current administration this policy has crumbled. This was seen in the case of Bowe Bergdahl. The United States traded 5 Taliban Commanders for Bergdahl back in early June of last year. Which is interesting because just today the White House is now saying the Taliban is not a terrorist organization………… I actually kinda chuckled when I read that……so….. then what are they?  And what were these guys doing prior to being held at Guantanamo? Maybe they were Pro-lifers, or Tea Party activists….because that’s what’s being considered terrorism these days….shhheeeeesh!

At first everyone was elated when Bergdahl was traded ….I mean we got an American back-yes!!!  And yes we went against our protocol of “not negotiating with terrorist” but whatever right! Oh but wait…..congress was also supposed to be given a 30 heads up on anyone being released from GITMO, but our President uses Executive Order whenever he damn well wants so ya…..now we have 5 “peacemakers” or Taliban Commanders released and at it again-depending on which side of the aisle your on. Oh, but, the latest development is that Bergdahl is now being tried for desertion. Ooooooh ya…..that’s….that’s not good. But what is really not good is it is reported that 6 soldiers died on missions trying to find Bergdahl. Can you imagine if that was your kid? If you lost your child while they were out trying to find a guy that deserted?

Here is my point, We are now negotiating with bad dudes. Because of this negotiating that is now taking place, every American now has a price tag on their head…$$$$.

The story of “If you give a mouse a cookie” is the same as “If you give in to terrorist demands”
