Well….watch out for pitch forks folks! 
Shooooooot! If you have views that are different than the trending mainstream, or your own political thoughts that could be considered controversial  or  hold true to your religious convictions-they’re gonna hunt ya down! 
Ya-I mean it’s turned into a witch hunt out there people! 
I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘tolerant’ and so called ‘diverse’ started knocking on doors and throwing us in water-if we sink than we’re not bigots but if we swim-burn us at the stake! 
In case you haven’t heard, Mozilla’s Firefox CEO resigned last week because 6 years ago he gave money to Proposition 8-which supported traditional marriage. (Which by the way Obama supported that same viewpoint -when asked about it 3months earlier that same year ’08 but of course he’s since changed his mind). 
Here’s the deal-I don’t care if you are gay, straight, transgender, asexual, bisexual….you name it-this discrimination- is straight up wrong! 
The gay community is attacking those that are different from them for holding different views! This is the same thing that they were fighting so long against and now they are the instigators-this is crazy pants! They want ‘acceptance’ but won’t accept those that believe differently!??? Whaattt….Ya I am scratching my head too!
Last night my husband and I were talking and he showed me a viral video of a Marine chasing after some hippie dude riding a scooter with the American flag upside down in protest. My husband was pleased with the Marines response and angered by the disrespect for the Flag. At the same time that hippie-though I totally disagree with him -has that right! He has the right to be an ass! He has the right to protest in free speech and I would never want that hippie dude thinking he’s gonna lose his job because he wants to protest!
Are we now going to hunt down the other 7 million in California who also supported Proposition 8?? Fire them ALL…BURN THEM ALL…sound familiar? This is nutso for real! 
You see- THIS IS AMERICA.
We are free to disagree! I am constantly disagreeing and not supporting things-especially in this blog! Do I want those people who I  don’t see eye to eye feeling as though they might lose their job-heck no (unless they are breaking the law or something)! This is our Constitutional right…hunting down people that one group considers intolerant is beyond hypocritical!
If you believe in traditional marriage you should not be afraid to say it! If you don’t believe in traditional marriage you should be allowed to say it!
Too many have fought and died so that we may FREELY disagree!!!
I love to debate! As a kid our dinners consisted primarily of debate-my oldest brother -always playing devil’s advocate-drove me nuts-but I still loved him! Disagreed with him, wanted to strangle him at times, but still loved him and always will! 
You see….Diversity is DIFFERENCE. A difference of -opinion, religion, politics,  and so forth. You can’t celebrate diversity without ALL the elements-and those elements are not all the same and not all alike. 
You can not be ‘tolerant’ to only the views in which you agree…this would be hypocracy in it’s purest form….

A need to clarify

Let’s just be clear-

The president yesterday said: “why are folks working so hard for people to not have health insurance.”

Oh Mr. President…dear sweet precious Mr. President….you see …when you say stuff like this…I just can’t help but think…why- oh why- are you soooooooo divisive. We as a nation have become so polarized and hateful. And the captain at the helm of the ship, fueling this divisive hatred is you.  When you make Conservatives out to be the devil…I once again feel obligated to speak up….

Conservatives are NOT against everyone having healthcare.
We are against a government FORCING people to have healthcare.
We are against the Government playing a bigger role than they ever were intended to! 
We are against skyrocketing insurance Premiums.
We are against much higher prices for prescriptions.
We are against the middle class getting hit the hardest by this implementation!

We are against being promised that we can keep our plans, but in reality we are being straight up lied to.
We are against the pro-choice party allowing for no-choice with this new law.
We are against this law being rammed through Congress without any input from the House.
We are against (and I actually am rather amused) that the guy that thought this thing up (Obama) has never paid for his own healthcare. On top of this -he has no clue about the healthcare industry. He went from Community Organizer to Senator to Prez  ..hmmmm, nope no healthcare resume in there-it’s kinda like watching a fish walk on dry land 🙂
I have spoken with Dr’s who think they might have to close up shop due to this new law-for real-awesome-once again killing the small business!

So, let’s just get this out there….This whole thing is set to eventually shut all private healthcare down. Leading to a single taxpayer system run by Government….
What does that mean???
Well it means this: let’s say you got a sick child….they need a costly operation …the govt will decide whether it’s ‘worth it’ and then you’ll be told to wait- (Just think the DMV-which is run by govt or The Post Office which is also run by govt) -while your kids life is on the line…..
Or shoot, let’s say your 80 yr old mother needs a transplant of some kind…oh that’s nice but at 80 it’s probably best to just give her a pill and let’er pass….
You see….Conservatives aren’t against helping people who need help-that’s how the left would have us viewed.
We have just simply seen the way our Government runs things that should be privatized and it’s scary as hell!

The Old Guard

The old guard-

As I sat and heard speeches last week at our County assembly- the theme was ‘I have been in the game, I have held the office below the office I am now running for and it’s my turn.’
This was the same stuff I heard when my dad ran for United States Congress.
‘It’s my turn-I have earned this!’

Earned what exactly? What have you earned? This sense of entitlement runs deep in the Republican Party. Jumping from public office to public office declaring your service to the same ole delegates.
I actually heard a guy talk about how you don’t vote someone ‘new’ in, you vote the ‘back-up quarterback’ in (using trendy sports analogy-really got the majority of the white-haired voters riled up!)
I talked to another delegate and she told me how annoyed she was that young republican voters don’t want to be called ‘republican’s’ they want to be called ‘conservatives.’ As I heard her talk…I thought -ya, I am one of those young voters!
Being the youngest in the room at the age of 32…I see the problem…the question is how do we fix
 It?
You see we, the younger Republican/Conservatives have watched this country fall fast-this happened while Republicans-the establishment-continued voting in to office the ‘same old same old….’
We believe in the Conservative principals but not the political crap that we are seeing from our own politicians. Both Dems and Republicans have overreached their hands in our daily lives. We want our freedom back, we want men and women who are not jumping from public office to public office. We want people that know how the world works! Most people in office don’t even know how much a gallon of milk costs or have the ability to relate to the young businessman or young mom…they haven’t a clue… 

Let’s talk about about ‘earning’ it shall we….
I think this concept is what’s dooming us!
‘Earned it’-ughh!
How about the small business man that knows how the private sector works, who has the ability to create something out of nothing? Who has been successful time and time again over the past 30years-I think he has an earned a vote!
You see it’s this narrow minded way of thinking that repulses me. It’s this clicky high school mentality……ummm…this is ‘our group and we like it this way mmmkkay.’

Well you know what….I say enough! I say we begin to infiltrate this incestual group think!
Why are we letting the “mean” girls depict the direction in which our country heads?

The old way…clearly is not working! We need to get involved we need to fight for a change!
Get involved-don’t let the old ‘we’ve done it this way for 100yrs’ continue! 

They have forgotten they work for us…

So Michelle Obama is going on a little trip to China with her mom and daughters. It’s a “non-political” trip and it’s focus is on education. No big deal right… why care?
Well we should care because the Press has been told they are not allowed to come. That’s right! The Press ALWAYS goes!
The Press is our link -our access to what the people we hired are doing. They are spending the tax payers dime on this -so we ARE footing the bill….but we are not allowed to know what exactly they are doing because no press is allowed!
This is crazy pants! Ya ya ya…they want privacy…what’s the big deal? Well if you are in public office-there’s no privacy and if you don’t want people in your business, don’t take a trip to China on our dime! We have EVERY right to know how our hard earned money is being spent! Don’t even get me started on the amount of vacations these people have been on…I got an idea…how about holding off on one of your trips and donating that money to the poor? Or shoot let’s give some of that cash to the Veterans who are being denied retirement funding after they have put their lives on the line for this country!
On top of all this…If our elected officials begin to shut the American people out ….you are looking at a Dictatorship ruling…yep I said it! You begin to treat the people you are supposed to be serving like they are unworthy to know what you are up to, or what you are doing or having a say of any kind….that’s not freedom people….
This is not good.

Religious freedom….not so much…

In case you haven’t heard a cadet at the United Air Force Academy is being court martialed for having a Bible verse written on the white board outside his dorm room! No JOKE!
Ya….I know nuts right! I mean this is absurd! If our religious freedoms are no longer protected and we can’t express our faith…than this country is straight up doooomed!

Our family has lived in Colorado for 20 years and we can look from our back yard and see the Air Force Academy. It has always been a source of pride to see the symbol of American freedom and liberty from our home. I honor and respect the brave men and women who represent us so well as Cadets. But after reading the numerous articles and blogs about the …Cadet who posted a Bible verse on his personal whiteboard, having to erase it because it offended other Cadets…outrage is my only response. Whether you are Baptist, Presbyterian, Congregationalist, Catholic, Non- Denominational or even of another Faith … you need to be concerned. When or first Amendment can be so easily, casually and consistently be dismissed…. Beware !

I am appalled by the biased anti-Christian atmosphere that permeates the Academy. I’m tired of hearing about leaders at the Academy bowing down and cowering to the ant-Christian chorus that sing the toneless refrain. I’m tired of reading about Cadets whining to their superiors about how they are so offended by Christians….Really.
Our right to live our Christian faith out in public is protected and under siege…. Period.
I say those weak and offended by those who exercise our most basic rights, should grow up and Leaders who put their political finger in the wind should seriously evaluate their understanding of The Constitution of the United States of America. If WE stand by and remain silent then we are in the grasp of a nefarious and terrible future….. regardless the coming topics….”
