The IG Report is out!
Here are some things to note:
There were 17 separate errors and omissions made by the FBI across three surveillance applications that were overly “enhanced” in order for the justification of spying on former foreign policy adviser to the Trump Campaign -Carter Page (starting in the fall of 2016). Note, if ONE person in the Trump campaign is surveilled, this allows for the FBI to surveil Trump too, because they can hop. If someone else is mentioned in a call or email of the person they are surveilling, they can then turn and surviel the person mentioned.
It is important to note “why” the FBI picked Carter Page. Page was an informant FOR the United States against the Russians in 2013. Page worked with the U.S. intelligence, and the FBI KNEW of Page’s past help in being an informant, but the FBI DID NOT tell the FISA Court about this to get the warrant to surviel. In fact, the FBI doctored the evidence to make Page look shady! They did this to make it look like Page was working with the Russians so they could get a warrant to spy on Page and really spy on Trump.
The IG report also exposes the fact that the Steele Dossier, the primary document used to get warrants to spy on the Trump campaign, was unfounded. The FBI produced this document knowing there was no substantial evidence to corroborate its findings.
Now, Inspector General Horowitz (Obama appointed), in reviewing these 17 separate accounts stated no “documentary or testimonial evidence that political bias or improper motivation influenced the FBI’s decision to conduct these operations.” Which is a joke. No “testimonial evidence.” Ha! What FBI operative would give testimony against what they did!?? Also they wouldn’t document it! The very fact that 17 errors were found shows they were sloppy and did in fact unjustly SPY on the Trump Campaign, which is a TOTAL VIOLATION of our FOURTH AMENDMENT RIGHTS!
Both Attorney General Barr, and U.S. Attorney John Durham disagree with Horowitz’s findings.
Just moments ago, US Attorney John Durham said: “Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the IG that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened.”
Attorney General Barr in a lengthy statement stated: “The Inspector General’s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive investigation of a U.S. presidential campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken,” Barr said.
