I have been preoccupied with my younger sister getting married over this past weekend, and I am now getting caught up on what’s going on in the world. Apparently Joe Rogan is really being ridiculed for allowing free speech and free dialogue on his podcast. It honestly never ceases to amaze me how offended people get by things they do NOT have to listen to, or watch, or read.
So, I thought a PSA was needed since some people are still struggling to comprehend that people can choose to NOT watch, read, or listen to things that offend them.

When you can’t argue on platform…because you don’t have one, you attack personally….and that’s what we are witnessing from the left.
Remember during the campaign how so many women came forward and accused Trump of Rape or assault? Where did all those women go? It was a personal attack that held NO TRUTH. The left has no platform, the only way they govern (or would like to govern is through emotion)…..we are now watching the left tag team with the Globalist owned media in attacking Trump through character assassination hoping to play on your emotions.
First it was “Trump cheated” in the election, and that’s how he won. Trump colluded with the Russians. A special counsel was formed based on NO evidence to investigate a crime that NEVER happened! This has been going on since the election! A way to de-legitimize our President’s win. An assault on his character- Trump is a cheater, which is a total LIE fabricated by the left and Mainstream Media with hopes to discredit.
Why? Why do this? Trump wasn’t supposed to win the election. Hillary was supposed to win. Hillary is a Globalist and is OWNED by Globalists. Globalists don’t want America to be a Super Power, they want the few elite to rule, and Individual Freedom (which is what America is all about) has NO place in a Globalist Society. Trump is pro America and pro individual liberty. Trump defeated the Globalists agenda (for now) and the Global Elite CANNOT handle it!
Next up-Charlottesville. I think that this whole event could have quite possibly been a set-up. I am hearing too many stories that both sides had been funded by the Global Elite, they both came to fight and there was a desire for even more bloodshed than what had occurred. Why? To create a state of chaos. To make people think that all HELL is breaking loose and to BLAME those in charge -Trump. Not enough bloodshed occurred, so there’s now OUTRAGE at how President Trump responded. He didn’t condemn ONE side and not the other, he instead condemned ALL involved in the Charlotteville protests. So now the narrative is to push Trump as a White Supremacist, a Neo Nazi, a Klan member….which couldn’t be further from he truth. Some of Trump’s closest friends, employees, executives in his company, and Cabinet members are people of a different ethnicity.
Everything, if you haven’t noticed, is being blamed on Trump. The media at this point is a full fledged wing of the Liberal Progressive Left, which is to be expected -be it that the Media for the most part is owned by the Global Elite. They are working overtime trying to take out a President that is fighting FOR America.
I have news for every pawn out there listening to the Mainstream Media: YOU ARE BEING PLAYED.
Oh and here’s a fun FACT: all these “problems” we are facing right now…..EXISTED BEFORE President Trump!
-White Supremacism existed BEFORE Trump.
-Racism existed BEFORE Trump.
-Neo Nazi’s existed BEFORE Trump.
-Black Lives Matter existed BEFORE Trump.
-ISIS existed BEFORE Trump.
-The North Korean conflict existed BEFORE Trump.
-Iran attempting to get nukes existed BEFORE Trump.
-The media hates Trump. They want to blame him for EVERYTHING. The media wants you to hate and blame Trump too…..don’t let them win.
I feel compelled to be honest with you……because in all honesty I haven’t been. Facebook is really what you “portray” yourself to be….and what you ‘post’ often reflects you. Now while I post pictures here and there of my family, life events and so forth…I have been slow to be me. Why? Because I didn’t want to offend anyone….
What’s even more sad, is I started a Page of who I really am….and I am more open and honest with strangers -than my so called ‘friends.’
I am a political person…..I wasn’t at first….to be honest I was oblivious to the world of politics…that is until my dad ran for United States Congress and I had the “come to Jesus moment” of just how much politics directly effect not only me….but my kids.
I know that many of my “friends” on Facebook see things from a totally different viewpoint than I do….instead of posting my views just like them, I avoided being honest…..because again….I didn’t want to offend anyone. So….I started my own page. Now while I love my Page where I can be honest, open and truly me, I am sharing with those of like mind….so it’s safe. This doesn’t take courage….it doesn’t even take boldness…..it’s just me…being me, but if I was to do it on my personal page….it’d take courage and boldness and being fearless of offending anyone.
What I have realized though is I am guilty of not practicing what I preach. I am a huge advocate of free speech. I am a huge advocate of NOT being politically correct…..because being politically correct has led us to a place of NO dialogue. When dialogue shuts down…..the opportunity for growth and change is killed. When conversations of debate and disagreement no longer exists-we are zombies with no hope of true advancement.
As I look around…..I am forced to acknowledge we are a nation divided. I am forced to acknowledge that the avoidance of conversation has brought us here. If we don’t talk….if we don’t engage….if we don’t argue…..we are numb….and we have become numb. Afraid to feel because feelings produce honesty and honesty provokes speech and for the love….don’t let us dare to speak!
I have debated, argued, and come to incredible resolutions with people on Twitter and my Facebook Page who when starting the conversation totally and completely disagreed with me….but doing that with someone I know….someone I might actually care about….I avoid.
Not anymore.
Too much is at stake.
As America signs a deal with a nation that chants “death to America” and gives them 150 billion tax payer dollars to use down the road to attack my children or my children’s children…..it has just gotten way too personal.
I can no longer play defense.
I can no longer be silent, when I should speak up.
I can no longer hide behind chats about the weather and recipes…..far too much is at stake.
What I am trying to say is….I am going to be me. It might annoy you, offend you, enrage you….if it does-tell me, let’s talk about it. Let’s HAVE a conversation or even an argument about it.
If you can permit a different viewpoint than your own….stay “my friend” but if you can not…..it’s ok to delete me….I won’t be offended…promise 🙂
This….this simple quote by Voltaire, is one of the primary reasons I am a Conservative: “I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it.” It is a simple quote, defining the individuals right to speak freely, and the willingness of so many to preserve this right. This is why I am a strong supporter of the Constitution, which includes our Bill of rights, the FIRST amendment being the Freedom of Speech! I have noticed a recent flippant disregard for the Constitution, but let me remind you, it protects your ability to speak freely. With the recent tragedy in Paris, I have to say I am so thankful to live in a country that defends our right to free speech. Let us never for a moment take this right for granted. Let us fight to defend it. And let us undoubtedtly support those who we have elected that stand by the constitution, without it -we would not be free.
I mentioned on my Facebook Page that, it’s kinda strange how the ideology has changed among Liberals and the Freedom of Speech. Their parties platform for years preached freedom to liberate ones self through speech, they were adamant protectors of the 1st amendment. But then the Tolerance movement hit…i.e: “free to speak as long as you don’t offend.” Which ironically nullifies the concept of the freedom of speech.
This, again is why I am a conservative. I will not be caught up in the hype, or trends. I will stand by the Constitution, it has sustained and preserved freedom longer than any other nation on earth. I will then support those who also defend it!
I saw Conan O’Brien’s speech addressing yesterday’s tragic events, it rang true, because it is:
