Top 10 reasons on why I am voting Republican in this mid term election and why you should too:
1)      You don’t want to have your head chopped off. Yeah I thought I’d lead with this one. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but it’s crazy out there! Obama has requested a 500 billion funding cut to our military in the budget for the 2015 fiscal year. I get we now fight with drones and rarely boots are put on the ground but this is not an area to cut! We need to first and foremost protect the American people and a strong military provides this! This money could be used in advancing our military technologies. I can safely say our foreign policy under this Democrat president and senate has blown! Other countries have made it clear that they do not respect us, by killing innocent Americans in the Middle East, and taking over regions in the Eastern Europe. If Americais weak, this is a threat to the world.
2)      You don’t think that you should spend money you don’t have. It sounds simple doesn’t it…..I mean common sense, but the Dems don’t see it this way. Spend spend spend and let the future generations deal with the consequences! The National Debt was at 7 trillion when Obama took office a little over 5.5 years ago and it has now way more than doubled….yes….our national debt is now a whopping 17 trillion dollars!!! We are using money we do not have!!! That’s crazy insane! With China now being the worlds largest economic producer and we (the United States) greatly in debted to China….they just might not need us like they have, what happens when they come to collect their debt??? Voting for a democrat to handle your money is like giving a teenage shopaholic a credit card with no limit….ummm nutso!
3)      You think that every life matters and Every woman should have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Men too of course J  But this is specifically directed at all those “war on woman” chicas. Science alone says that conception produces life, therefore the LIFE growing in the womb (of a woman who wants that life or whether she doesn’t) has a right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If we are all about “choice”….let’s allow a choice to be given to the life hidden behind a veil of skin.
4)      You are not a fan of the Government being up in your bizness! Ughhh…for real. Our 4th Amendment rights, clearly are in place to protect our own individual privacy.  The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause. I don’t know about you, but I am not cool with the government violating this…and they are! The NSA has snooped through private phone calls, emails, etc…of normal Americans without any probable cause. Sure I am fine with them taping some crazy wacko potential suicide bomber, but they do not need to hear me talking to my husband, mom or friends….it is a total violation and a complete overreach of government and it has happened under Obama’s watch.
5)      You believe America is a sovereign nation. I know, I know sounds simple right, but for some reason our current administration is having a helluva time understanding sovereignty. It’s a simple idea really, the United States is an independent nation, governed by the American people under the framework of the Constitution. Sovereignty is essential to our Independenceand freedom as a nation and as individuals. Not securing our borders, creates an un-sovereign state, creating a total mess and from this mess develops a government controlling the people and not a government controlled by the people. If you want to be a citizen of the United States…that’s awesome, for real, but you have to follow the path to citizenship that is in place.
6)      You believe that every child is different and learns differently; therefore they should have the choice to go to any school you see fit. It’s called School Choice and Republicans are in full support of it. “Well kids will just leave the bad schools and go to the good schools,” is the argument I am hearing and I reply with: “So you would have these kids stay at the bad poorly ran schools?” Competition produces the best and we want the best for our kids.
7)      You believe that the government should not be involved in what healthcare or doctor you choose.Ahhhh the infamous Affordable Care Act, pushed through congress without a vote. You are young and don’t have the money to spend on healthcare that let’s say someone in there 60’s may have…well that’s a bummer…but you still HAVE to buy it. Ya…I know this is America and supposedly all about freedom…but you are not allowed freedom to choose not to have healthcare, or else you are slapped with a hefty tax…I could go on about the AFA and perhaps I will in a future blog.
8)      You believe that lower taxes enable growth and that the government has no clue how to handle your money. I mean, clearly…they don’t know how to handle your money-I mentioned our insane debt early. Oh and just google: “the ways government wastes your money,” the results are devastatingly comical. Anywho…people, it’s basic economics 101, rich people/corporations (and yes corporations are made up of people-fyi) provide the JOBS (which we are lacking). When you tax the rich an insane amount, they no longer can provide the jobs. They simply pack up and produce their product in a country that has lower tax rates; this causes a ripple effect obviously. Corporations and the rich are not our enemy…BIG TAXES ARE!
9)      You are having a helluva hard time finding a job. 93 million Americans are out of work-yep….I know it’s nauseating. I argued with a woman saying that unemployment is at a new low-5.9%. Ya…it’s low, because that count only includes those still looking for work and those still taking unemployment. It does not count those who have totally stopped looking…because they came to the honest realization-there are no jobs. Ask yourself this, how could the unemployment rate drop if less people are now counted in the labor force? It can’t, but the main stream media thinks you are a total moron and won’t put two and two together.
10)  You believe poor people shouldn’t stay poor. That’s right, under our current Democrat Administration, the poverty rate has hit a 50 year record! 50 million Americans are living beneath the poverty line ($23,550 for a family of 4). That means 1 out of every 6 Americans is living in poverty. We sadly have over half of Americansnow receiving some kind of government assistance/aid and it’s still not helping the poverty rate-and it never will. This is creating a society dependent on government and when you are dependent you are not free. But dems have no problem keeping people dependent because that means more votes for them! It all connects….

I could go on….but these are my top 10 reasons on why I am voting Republican and I think you should to! Ballots come out next week, VOTE and tell everyone you know to VOTE and VOTE SMART!

“Those” Social Issues can suck it for right now!
Well….I don’t know about you all but I just looked outside my window to the world and it’s crazy as hell out there! Yeah….insanity….I got a text from one of my younger sisters telling me to prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse! I of course laughed…but deep down those words resonated with me.
I don’t need to list off all the crazy nutso things going on in the world….the majority of the readers of this blog are educated people, so perhaps…you are also feeling a “little” or “a lot” fed up!
How did this all happen so fast….how did we get here? I sadly know how we got here and I know whywe are here.
In reality this complete chaos we are witnessing should be of no surprise to anyone because everyone (or the vast majority)…voted for it.
It was back in early 2008, I got in a huge fight with a young friend of mine when living in California. She was a highly educated, beautiful black, Christian woman and a strong supporter of Obama. Now I was truly the odd guy out, when living in Los Angeles…the minute it was known I was a Republican….I was attacked at all sides….but I have thick skin and I am one of seven kids….so I know how to stand my ground.
Her and I faced off and it was ugly….and we have sadly never spoken since. She believed Obama was our deliverer, even when I challenged her on abortion and how that played into her faith….she stood strongly by her candidate. She was not the only one obviously….Obama swept the nation with his swagger and celebrity type charm. His ability to speak was captivating….the mass majority hanging on his every word and believing those words held truth.
I have never been one to follow the crowd….ask anyone who knew me when I was in high school….I never once did anything because everyone else did, it’s not in my nature. Something just didn’t sit right with me when I heard Obama speak….I was uneasy and wary. Trust me I was NO fan of the McCain/Palin ticket though, I was angry that’s all the Republican Party could come up with…I mean seriously…seriously!??
How did we get here? Well we got played for fools. We didn’t research to find out what Obama stood for, we didn’t look into who he admired and studied under (Saul Alinsky) we didn’t pry, we didn’t question record, and we didn’t put him up against a real contender.
But our biggest fail as a party is we have allowed Specific “Social Issues” picked by the other side, the ability to completely control the last two presidential elections!
Ya…I get they are important, but the last time I took a look around, there are a heck of a lot more pressing issues that need to be addressed asap! Like what you ask??….well I don’t know, let’s say for starters -the prevention of any more Americans having their heads chopped off, or the fact that 92 million Americans are out of work and no longer even looking for jobs (so those new job reports are total bogus fyi), or that our borders are totally insecure allowing terrorism and diseases to freely pass into our country harming Americans, or that we are being spied on without probable cause (a violation of our 4th Amendment right), or that Common Core education is strongly not desired by either side, but somehow we all gotta accept it, or that we are rapidly dropping worldwide in ranking in education altogether, or that 35.4% of Americans are on welfare, or that we are seriously failing our Veterans when it comes to caring for their health, after they have put their lives on the line for us, or that poverty is at an all time high (does that seriously not infuriate you!)….but no ….we allow the other side the ability to manipulate targeted Social Issues as our deciding factors when it comes down to election day and this….this…is our Epic Fail.

So while the Left focuses on sex changes for veterans (because to them, that’s all that’s important in the world right now), can we as a party focus on the NOW and all it’s insanity, can we be clear on policies and not let social issues control the BIG PICTURE!!!??? It’s time to play some offense! Is that too much to ask…is it?

Let’s talk choice shall we….
Ahhhh the party of “choice.” Blah blah blah blah blah…..ya I have heard it…I have, over and over and over again….I get it…the Democrats are the party of “choice”….or are they? Really?
Let’s just be real….that “choice” has got a bunch of hoopla surrounding it, but at it’s core-“choice” to the left, is simply supporting the right for a woman to choose to end a life growing inside her…
I have also heard a lot of left-wing women -whack jobs, coming out and saying that they are even finding ‘empowerment’ (gag…ya I just gagged)  when they stop that inconvenient life growing inside them. So ya…I get that you all are proud of having that right to “choose”….
But let’s talk “choice”……let’s really talk about choice, shall we…
I don’t know about you….but I have found that the government is pretty incompetent… I mean let’s just look at some things they are in charge of- the DMV (Department of Motorized Vehicles)…first, get in line and wait…and wait …and wait (and try to forget about the stinky, I haven’t showered in 5 days guy, you have been sitting by for the last two hours!)  After you are done waiting, paper work and red tape…did you bring the red tape, or did I bring the red tape…who the hell brought the red tape (license, registration, change of address, no checks…ha ha just kidding, ok we take checks, no cash tho)?!! For real….  Ahhhh ….“wait” that sounds familiar….like maybe you are at the Post Office…(also govt ran) or…
the VA (Department of Veteran Affairs) only in this case…people are seriously DYING, due to “waiting.” (a foreshadow of Obama care fyi) 
All I gotta say is the government is having a helluva hard time running anything!!!  
Yet, we are entrusting them with everything-our finances, our safety, and more and more of our day to day-life choices.
We, the American people, are choosing “More government” (which is the total opposite of what our country was founded upon).  The emphasis of MORE GOVERNMENT is strongly supported by the democratic party, and these completely incompetent nit-wits want to choose for you….that’s right, (that 70+yr old bald guy, that has been in congress for the last 30yrs-due to ‘no term limits’-wants to make decisions for you and your family-like he has a clue) they want to be all up in ya bizness! They think you are a total moron and that you can’t think for yourself….AT ALL.
They want to make ALL decisions for you.
They don’t want you to CHOOSE what school you send your kids to.
They don’t want you to CHOOSE what your kids eat when they are at school.
They don’t want you to CHOOSE what you use to defend yourself from harm with.
They don’t want you to CHOOSE your own healthcare.
They don’t want you to CHOOSE your own doctor, and if you like your doctor…ya can’t keep em’ fyi.
They don’t even want you to CHOOSE what kind of car you drive, because your car might blow up the planet! (ultimate sarcasm) 
They don’t want you to CHOOSE ANYTHING!!! For real…
Unless….you are choosing to well…you know…get rid of that cluster of cells…that science would call LIFE.
But whatever right…….
Oh and don’t throw the gay marriage thing at me either…because I totally support civil unions (which entitles all the rights of marriage)….”marriage” has a religious affiliation -which abides under sacred context…and we can debate that another time.
So there ya have it….
So…. I ask you to CHOOSE…..seriously….do some research, get informed, and figure out what party “allows” you more freedom. And if you aren’t about “freedom” then…hmmm you just might be living in a country that is not for you. Because, AMERICA is the land of FREEDOM….if you aren’t harming another life…then get out of my bizness…for real…

Fight

I posted on my face book page today the “Freedom” speech by William Wallace in “Braveheart.” The post was in response to Scotland’s decision to not secede from the United Kingdom. I will be honest, this decision bummed me out. I think about all the men that died trying so desperately to free Scotlandfrom the oppression and tyranny of England, the price paid, was great. I get that it’s not like that now…England is no longer raping and pillaging villages in Scotland like they once did….everyone is living in counterfeit perception of “peace” or I would call it repressed silence.  Anyways, the choice to not annex…got me thinking…Scotlandis looking a lot like Americaand vice versa. A price of countless lives was paid for our freedom as Americans and yet there is little acknowledgment and few willing to preserve it.
I have noticed a slumber fall over the greatest nation on earth…America. Its people are trading comfort for freedom and we are witnessing this daily. With roughly 35.4 percent of the American people on Welfare, that’s 109 million of the 309 million receiving Government assistance! Over half of Americans don’t have jobs and therefore pay no income tax, relying on the other half of America to carry the burden. With this comes more government and less individual liberty and yet shhhhhhhh…..silence……
A nation founded on religious freedom, the freedom of speech, and the pursuit of happiness has now succumbed to no expression of religion, no speech unless it’s politically correct in every facet and our happiness is temporarily filled with frivolousness, creating an empty shell of Americans. Americans who are silent, who gorge themselves on reality tv, fast food and pop icons. Americans who vote according to the last tv commercial they saw, and in return electing completely incompetent leaders who are taking us further down the rabbit hole. Americans, who stuff their faces with glitzy magazines and twitter feeds full of garbage, while American flags (our symbol of freedom) are being banned in parts of this country, because it “offends.” Americans who have no clue who our elected officials are, but they can rattle of every name of the Kardashian clan. Americans who seek shelter in fleeting pleasures, because reality is too painful to view. Americans who keep their heads down because it’s too unbearable to witness what is. Americans who have lost hope, because they have electively taken away hope.
What is hope? Technically, it’s a “feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.” What do we as a country desire…what do we want to happen and why have we given up?
We want people to work right? We want our borders to be secure? We want terrorism to be eliminated, we want our kids to be safe, we want to be healthy, we want to live a long life, and we ultimately want peace.
When you study history, peace does not come without a fight. When you watch William Wallace on that battlefield in the film of Braveheart, it’s gruesome, bloody and ugly. It would have honestly been much more comfortable to just let the English kill his wife and not avenge her death….to just lower his head and continue on with life. That’s what is happening…we are lowering our heads and continuing with life….but life as we know it is changing and tyranny is at our front door. William did not lower his head, he fought and because he fought he embarked courage upon a whole nation….ultimately yes, he died….but I sit here today inspired by his story. His life was not in vain and I don’t think you want yours to be either.

I am asking you to look up….look up and fight. I know it’s not easy, I know that the path can be lonely but you are here…living, breathing for such a time as this. Do you want your kids to remember you filling yourself with fluff or substance?  Be a fighter, because a fighter is someone who doesn’t give up, someone who believes in something greater than themselves, a fighter paves the way for peace….
Why put on the full armor of God if we aren’t called to fight…..?

Romeo

Since it is #NationalDogDay I’d thought I’d share a pic of my dog Romeo. Romeo is a Toy Poodle rescue and the word “quirky” doesn’t even begin to describe him. I got Romeo when he was a little over 3 years old.
I had left the crazy world of Los Angelesand found myself wanting a companion. I ventured down to the local shelter one afternoon and there he was…..a serious hot mess! Pacing back and forth in his small cage with a bandage tightly wrapped around his foot, eyes wild, hair mangled and urine stained. Romeo had spent the last 3years of his life in a cage, being used as a stud to breed for a puppy mill in Missouri. The puppy mill was raided and the dogs were rescued and various shelters offered to take the dogs and Romeo landed in the one I was at the night before. He was scared and I was told that he was attacked by a larger dog earlier that he was placed with, and that’s why his foot was bandaged.
I asked one of the volunteers if I could see him. I was ushered back to a room and there I waited. Minutes later, the volunteer came in the room with Romeo. She left us alone and there I stood looking into these black panicked eyes…..I knew at that moment Romeo’s life and my life would forever be changed.
After an interview, being warned that Romeo may never bond because of his traumatic past, and then being informed he wasn’t in the best health with lots of tooth decay, I still persisted that he was supposed to be with me. So papers were filled out, and I was told that I could come get Romeo the following morning.
After leaving I seriously wondered what just happened….I was excited but also wondering if I had a clue what I was doing! I immediately went and got all the essentials needed and woke early the next morning in anticipation.
Romeo was mine! As we left the rescue shelter the sunlight hit Romeo and he was freaked out! After spending years inside a pen, he was unfamiliar with this overwhelming light! I took him to a shaded area so he could go to the bathroom and set him on the grass…another shocker….Romeo didn’t know grass…he lifted his damaged paws in great curiosity not knowing what to do next. I soon realized that Romeo’s “normal” was re-leaving himself in his cage and that he had no concept of urinating away from his constant surroundings…..because he couldn’t. Shortly after this epiphany, I put him on a leash and tried to walk him up the stairs to my truck….Romeo didn’t know what the hell a leash was and stairs were a whole other story! At this moment I knew I had taken on a HUGE project! It was here, that Romeo and I shared the same feeling at the same time-panic!
I am not going to lie, it has been a journey, and it definitely took awhile to convince Romeo that he could trust me, that I wouldn’t hurt him, and that I was going to care for him and most importantly love him.
I have had Romeo now for 5.5 years. He was there in the room when my husband proposed, been with me through two pregnancies and we have bonded when I was told it most likely wouldn’t happen. He still has several oddities and I’ll never fully know what he went through those first years of his life but that doesn’t matter now….what matters now is that he is loved. Romeo, who behaves more like a cat, perched on the sofa for hours a day, has brought me so much love and he has taught me that consistent patience and love can heal the very broken hearted. I truly believe that God has a special place in heaven for dogs (I really do)….they love unconditionally and give us a picture of Gods unconditional love for us.

I am eternally thankful that Romeo’s soul has met mine.
