Confused about Feminism….join the club!
Ok so Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco, who makes 1 million an episode, is making feminists heads explode after her interview with Redbook Magazine’s February issue, coming out in early January..
When asked if she was a feminist, this is how she responded: “Is it bad if I say no?” Kaley then went on to say, “It’s not really something I think about,” she said. “Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around … I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that’s because I’ve never really faced inequality,” she said.
Cuoco is newly married to tennis pro-Ryan Sweeting, so when she said this about how she enjoys cooking often for her hubby-all femi-nazi hell broke loose! “five nights a week: It makes me feel like a housewife; I love that. I know it sounds old-fashioned, but I like the idea of women taking care of their men. I’m so in control of my work that I like coming home and serving him. My mom was like that, so I think it kind of rubbed off.”
Ooooooh my goodness!!!! How dare she! Feminist bloggers, writers, tweeters, Facebookers are all coming out of the wood-work to slam….Mrs. Cuoco-Sweeting!
Here’s the deal, I am a feminist and I cook for my husband 4-5 nights a week and I do his laundry too!!! Yep…is that insane or what!??
You see, I think that if Kaley would have been asked, do you believe in equality for men and women? She would have answered “YES.” Because that is what Feminism is, that is until the Liberal Left took it to a whole other level!
Burn your bras, don’t shave your armpits or legs, hate men…better yet, become a lesbian! That became the face of Feminism! Or you can got to the other side of the spectrum and witness Beyonce objectifying herself and women in general when she gets all down and dirty with her hubby Jay-z in a limo, and she proclaims this is feminism (It’s basically a “soft” porn….hmmmm…I wonder if she’ll proudly show this video to her daughter when talking about feminism?).
What I have to say is Feminism can be as confusing as hell to any woman at this point! Do I shave my head, can I wear a bra-geeez I prefer to wear a bra-to at least give the illusion I have boobs, and can I wear make-up, or not? Do I scream at a man that opens a door for me? Do I sleep around with as many men as possible and call it empowering?? Really, I mean really? It’s gotten so confusing that a true feminist doesn’t know she’s a feminist!
I say forget em’ all! Respect yourself! Respect others! Be the woman that your daughter will be proud of! Be the woman your mother can be proud of! Stand strong in your beliefs and yes, stand for equality!
I don’t care if you are a stay at home mom or the CEO of a fortune 500 company…..what Hollywood and the main stream media tells you feminism is has screwed it all up! If you are asked, “are you a feminist”….it’s intimidating, because the crazy wackos have put an asinine image on feminism! So, yes, in order to define Feminism, one must clarify their support for equality.
It’s simple, it’s equality.
Now I have some clothes I need to go fold…..
Your daily dose of Conspiracy Theory ;)
Your daily dose of Conspiracy Theory ;)
Ok, so I have never shared this in any blog, but I am naturally drawn to conspiracy theory. I know….I know….right now your thinking, “good lawd she’s gone off the deep end!” But before you come to that conclusion, hear me out 🙂
It all started when I stumbled across “Coast to Coast AM” (a radio show played late at night) in college and ever since, I have been hooked. Now, to clarify I don’t buy most of what I hear, I really don’t….but what I have found is that in most conspiracy theories, there is a tiny bit of truth. The truth often spins into a blown up crazy wacko story that no one believes, but often, if you dig deep, and research….you’ll find that lot’s of those conspiracies out there, have some legitimacy.
I would like to briefly discuss, the Bush’s and Clinton’s….and how these families, hold much more power than you would have ever thought.
Now, I am not sure if you have ever heard of the secret society known as Skull and Bones. This is not a “so called” group, they really exist. It is a society that was formed back in 1832 at Yale University. What’s fascinating about the Skull and Bones is some VERY powerful people have been members, a few presidents, athletes, congressmen, etc, check the list out here. What is extremely intriguing is that the Bush Family has very close ties to the Skull and Bones. In fact, many of them have been members! Prescott Bush, the father of George Herbert Bush (President) and Grandfather of George W Bush (President) were all members as well. Watch George W, as well as John Kerry’s response, when asked about being a member of Skull and Bones:
There are stories that the society of Skull and Bones is linked to the Illuminati. Now is when you are probably rolling your eyes….but just chill for a second. What is the Illuminati? I know I might lose you here, but the Illuminati is formed by very powerful leaders who plant agents in government and corporations, in order to gain political power and influence and to establish a New World Order. “Ahhhh yes, she’s off her rocker” you say 😉 I’ll be honest it sounds crazy right….but have you not noticed much more one world globalization taking place??? I have….trust me, I’d LOVE to be totally wrong about all this stuff!
Ok so now for the Clintons. Bill Clinton as well as the Bushes, were associated with the Tri-Lateral commission, another group associated with New World Order, found by David Rockefeller in the early 70’s. Another group of world leaders that secretly meets once a year is known as the Bilderberg Group. Both Hillary and Bill have attended these meetings. For years the Bilderberg Group has been associated with the Illuminati. When Hillary was asked about her attendance of a Bilderberg meeting in 2006, this was her response:
Ok, so I don’t want to overwhelm you with all that’s out there, because it’s never ending….but perhaps this might peek your interest.
I stopped believing the main stream media years ago, to find the truth, I really think you have to approach all news and information skeptically.
I will say, that if we do have a Clinton/Bush run off in 2016….there are definite powers beyond our control at play, and the winner in that race wouldn’t matter….
Sloooooooow down
With the hustle and bustle of the holidays coming to a close, I find myself catching my breath. I often feel like once Halloween hits, I blink and it’s the day after Christmas! It goes too fast! I also really think January is the loooooongest month of the year too! 😉
I haven’t had one of those slow, long days in a while. The best moment of today happened just a short time ago.
Sometimes you get those moments, when your heart just melts as a mom. My daughter will be 16 months on Wednesday, and she is all play. I get so amused that toddlers are so busy! You’d think they were doing all the holiday shopping! They constantly seem like they have somewhere to be! My little gal, is always on the go, mimicking, laughing, stumbling and of course the fluctuation of emotions are insane!
I almost always lay her down to sleep. She moves so much, even when I read to her, always rushing to turn the page on the book, swaying back and forth, amused by the characters on the pages…giggling and laughing. After reading her a book, we shut off the lamp and I usually lay her down, but tonight she just snuggled up to my chest and laid her head down beneath my chin. No movement, no squirming….just laid in my arms as I hummed her bedtime song, as she fell asleep in my arms. I swear my heart swelled out of my chest, it’s those moments that we parents live for. I know it sounds simple, even possibly ridiculous but not for me…so many of the perfect most precious moments are in the little things.
It was in this moment I was reminded to slow down, take it in…it goes by fast. It’s easy to get going so fast that the little things get lost in the big things.
At some point during the often hurriedness of motherhood, the little things, grow up. The sticky hands, the drooly mouths, the dirty diapers, the crawling, the teething, the gummy smiles, the first potty in the toilet, the first steps….they grow up.
Tonight’s moment just reminded me to take it in. The exhaustion and all, because I have a feeling I am going to miss it all when it grows up.
